Wordlore ("the app") is an etymology app made by Maya Technologies. We collect as little data as possible. This page explains exactly what is stored and where.
The app stores your saved words, the words you have read, and your daily-puzzle results. This data is kept on your device. If you are online, it is also synced to our database (Google Firebase Firestore) against a random installation identifier so your progress survives reinstalls. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal detail — we do not know who you are.
No account is required. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising.
If in-app subscriptions are offered, payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. Subscription status may be managed by RevenueCat, our billing infrastructure provider, using the same anonymous identifier.
Google Firebase (data sync — privacy), Expo (app delivery — privacy), and, if purchases are enabled, RevenueCat (privacy).
Uninstalling the app removes on-device data. To request deletion of synced data, email us with your request and we will remove it.
Wordlore is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
