Terms of Use

Wordlore · Last updated: 23 July 2026

By using Wordlore you agree to these terms.

The service

Wordlore provides educational content about word origins. We work hard on accuracy, but etymology is a scholarly field with genuine uncertainty; content is provided "as is" for general interest and education, without warranty. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will check it against the sources.

Subscriptions

If offered, Wordlore Plus subscriptions are billed through your App Store or Google Play account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel any time in your store account settings. Lifetime purchases are one-time and non-recurring.

Acceptable use

Don't copy the app's curated content wholesale for redistribution, and don't attempt to disrupt the service. Content adapted from Wiktionary remains under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes means acceptance. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
